Meet the Founder & Instructor
Heather Marie, LMBT, is a clinical bodyworker, educator, and leader in the integration of Eastern and Western approaches to abdominal and visceral therapy. With over a decade of focused study and hands-on practice, her work is rooted in both modern clinical understanding and traditional healing systems, including advanced training within the Chi Nei Tsang lineage abroad.
Since 2016, Heather has owned and operated Organic Touch Inc., a thriving massage and bodywork clinic in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Through her clinical practice, she has worked with thousands of clients, consistently observing the profound impact abdominal work can have on digestion, posture, breathing, and nervous system regulation. Her approach emphasizes treating the body as an interconnected system—where working through the abdomen can influence the structure and function of the entire body.
Heather is widely recognized for her excellence and innovation in the field of massage therapy. She is the #1 Overall American Massage Champion (2024), earning a US gold medal in the Clinical category and standing out in the final round for her ability to seamlessly integrate Eastern and Western techniques. Her work highlighted a whole-body approach—incorporating abdominal therapy, pelvic resetting, and structural integration to restore balance and function.
She is also a Massage Therapy Hall of Fame Inductee with the World Massage Festival, honoring her contributions to the profession, commitment to advancing clinical bodywork, and passion to continue elevating the standard of continuing education.
As an educator, Heather is known for her clear, grounded, and practical teaching style. She focuses on helping therapists move beyond memorized techniques into deeper understanding—emphasizing assessment, intention, and adaptability. Her goal is to equip practitioners with tools they can immediately apply, while also developing confidence, critical thinking, and longevity in their careers.
Through her teaching, clinical work, and writing, Heather continues to raise the standard of abdominal and visceral therapy—bridging the gap between Eastern wisdom and Western science, and helping therapists approach the body with greater clarity, precision, and care.
